Job summary
The Global Programming Strategy team owns content programming and release strategy for Prime Video, employing a deep understanding of distinct audience cohorts, content analytics, production timelines, and supply constraints to deliver a customer-obsessed streaming slate.

The group drives the creation of Prime Video's original and licensed content portfolio, and crafts the release schedule, all with the mission of delighting customers worldwide. The team focuses on strategic audience priorities to identify areas of opportunity in both the near- and long-term, ultimately directing our development and licensing pipelines to suit customer needs.

We are seeking a Release Strategy Manager to be a leader in driving US/Global content scheduling.

Key job responsibilities
• Maintain and manage the release plans for Prime Video's US/Global titles by partnering closely with Production, Development, Marketing, and other key stakeholders
• Become an expert / provide in-depth context and understanding on a subset of our US/Global titles to aid in optimizing release dates
• Continuously assess and evaluate our release schedule in its ability to meet our strategic goals with a rational and data-driven approach
• Problem-solve complex release date conflicts by investigating options, proposing solutions, and gaining alignment from key studio stakeholders
• Coordinate with regional and local Release Strategy leads to ensure that our US/Global slate's impact is maximized across the world
• Contribute to highly-analytical projects and the development of global frameworks that advance our programming and audience strategy
• Identify and highlight opportunities for improvement in our release strategy mechanisms, and contribute to the development of new processes which improve operational efficiency
• Support the team's Release and Programming Strategy leads in executing cross-functional mechanisms and processes related to our content release schedule
• Streamline and manage our internal data, tools, and mechanisms

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's Degree
• 3+ years of experience in Content Programming, Strategy, or Marketing within a major media or technology company or, alternatively, in Investment Banking or Management Consulting
• Excellent quantitative skills and experience with modeling (Excel) and data analyses
• Excellent writing skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Deep-seated passion for TV and Film
• Experience in the TV or Film industries
• Expertise in data mining, management, and reporting, as well as SQL queries
• Experience leading large-scale, cross-functional projects
• Experience in, and passion for, process improvement
