Job Description
Amazon Studios Global IP Acquisitions & Library Principal is an essential part of our ever-growing business. As Amazon Studios' continuously produces content and acquires IP (books, video games, comic books, podcasts, etc.), library continuously grows. The Global IP & Library Principal is responsible for managing our owned portfolio. The individual's primary focus is to ensure that we are fully leveraging the IP within our library. They will conduct IP valuation and develop strategy and mechanisms to identify properties that should be fast-tracked, re-invented, or revived to meet customer needs. The individual will work closely with finance and programming teams to apply macro-strategy to library management. They will partner with executives Studio wide to maintain up-to-date knowledge and expertise of all active projects, and identify opportunities to further mine existing owned IPs.

The ideal candidate has experience and familiarity with entertainment (film/tv), and an understanding of the creative acquisition and development process, the value of creative and creative partner, and who also has expertise in portfolio management with entertainment-business focus. They should be comfortable with IP valuation and modeling, be able to code-switch seamlessly between quantitative and creative discussions, and adapt terminology to their audience. This individual will bridge creative, financial, and strategy skill sets to drive business opportunities. They should bring an entrepreneurial ''can do'' attitude to the team, are highly collaborative, and a team player. Must be able to remain dynamic and flexible to ever evolving needs and opportunities, and is able to see the forest through the trees, and the trees through the forest.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Previous experience with valuation in venture capital, management consulting, or M&A
• Must have prior experience with creative processes at a studio or entertainment company
• Must have a love of TV & Movies and knowledge of the domestic and international studio landscape

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• BA/BS required; MBA preferred
• Effective at managing and thriving in ambiguous situations
