We are currently seeking an experienced Content Acquisition Manager to join our Latin America Prime Video licensing team. You will be responsible for helping define and execute US-focused content acquisition strategies with major studios, TV network groups and other niche content partners across a variety of business models, including flat fee licensing, pay for performance, and more. Leveraging your experience in both negotiations and content analysis you will work across US content owners to develop new business models and deliver results for both our stakeholders and costumers.
Responsibilities:
• Execute the content acquisition strategy for Movie and TV content on Amazon's Prime Video service, in Latin America
• Develop and document acquisition plans, financial metrics and goals for senior management
• Collaborate on all aspects of content licensing negotiations, including content selection, financial analysis, forecasting, and technical requirements
• Manage relationships with key content providers
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., accounts payable, vendor payments, marketing, public relations, finance, operations, etc.)
• Use behavior, usage and consumption data to inform decision-making
• Work closely with Amazon Video leaders to develop new services and product offerings
• Maintain a can-do attitude and a willingness and flexibility to solve problems at short notice, using any tools necessary
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years of experience in an account management, licensing or business development role
• Experience with SQL
• Experience using Tableau and Excel
• Spanish fluency
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• MBA a plus
• Experience buying/selling content in Latin America.
• Content and contract management experience.
• Knowledge of digital video landscape, including solid understanding of digital video distribution technologies
• Excellent written communication and organizational skills
• Portuguese proficiency
