We are seeking a highly motivated Sr. Policy Risk Manager to join the Amazon Music's Global Trust and Safety team. This team ensures that music and podcasts available on Amazon Music create a great customer experience and that artists and creators abide by our guidelines and terms of service. Amazon Music has a global footprint and policy managers on the Music Trust and Safety team navigate different laws and cultural nuances across the globe to ensure the best possible entertainment experience for customers. In this role you will be responsible to protect Amazon Music customers from a wide range of content-related risks. The Sr. Policy Risk Manager will work closely with cross functional counterparts in engineering, product management, content acquisition, Legal, PR, marketing, merchandising, executive teams and other policy counterparts to bring products to market, develop and grow business opportunities, and enhance our customer experience. A successful candidate will thrive in a fast pace and dynamic business environment, analyzing policy and will have analytical expertise and resourcefulness to deliver results.

Key job responsibilities
• Contribute to the strategy, evaluation and maintenance of Amazon Music's global risk policies.
• Demonstrate the ability to exercise sound judgment on complex, time-sensitive and often controversial issues
• Coordinate with Legal, Public Relations, Public Policy, Diversity and Inclusion, Engineering, Operations and Business teams to understand and interpret laws, regulations and business policies to preserve and protect the customer experience on Amazon
• Own fast-paced policy research, draft and present thoughtful policy proposals to senior leaders up to SVP-level
• Support policy escalations
• Influence technology investments to detect and prevent risk to the Amazon Music business

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree (JD, Public Policy) or equivalent experience
• 5+ years experience in digital policy or risk management and working cross functionally with tech and non-tech stakeholders
• Experience in content moderation and policy development for online communities that create user-generated content
• Experience in content policy, or public policy, policy communications, compliance, or legal with an emphasis on the technology industry
• Demonstrated experience collaborating, consensus-building and problem-solving, in demanding environments.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience developing new policies and process improvements at a global scale
• Advanced degree in relevant field (e.g., JD, MA, Public Policy)
• Knowledge of online content risks and industry standards and best practices
• Analytical skills and comfort in deriving insights from quantitative data
• Willingness to engage deeply with customer concerns in a passionate online community
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and concisely to senior leaders
• Demonstrated ability to identify, mitigate, and manage business risks and tradeoffs in a high-pressure environment
• Proven ability to model calm behavior in a crisis, drive consensus, and operate in ambiguity
