Are you excited about leading and developing a talented team of global art directors to deliver on the creative that brings Amazon's Music and Podcasts to life? Do you want to inspire, mentor, hire, and elevate a diverse group of designers delivering for on the largest music streaming services on earth? If so, the Amazon Music Creative Studio team is looking for a Sr. Manager of Content Marketing for Music and Podcast to lead and develop a team of art directors who deliver on thousands of playlists, stations, and podcast a year and lead the creative for tent pole campaigns like Black History Month, Hispanic Heritage Month, Holiday, and more!

This role may be based anywhere virtually on the east coast but ideal location would be Brooklyn, NY.

Key job responsibilities
• Building and fostering relationships with top tier creative agencies, illustrators, and production agencies
• Growing, developing, and leading a team of global art directors to deliver creative asset projects and programs at scale
• Facilitating design reviews and debates, providing technical coaching as needed
• Screening, hiring, and onboarding creative talent from entry to senior levels
• Employing systems-level design thinking to drive design solutions from your team that scale
• Influencing cross-team conceptual development; working with members from Marketing, Music Programming, -Podcasts, Artist and Label Relations, and others
• Working across functions, balancing the needs of partners and breaking down complex narratives into simple, compelling ideas for your team to execute
• Empowering and energizing an outstanding creative team through developing programs and forums for mentorship and expertise

A day in the life
We're growing quickly and hiring the best; this is day one. The Sr. Manager of Content Marketing will manage a diverse team of eight global designers and continue to hire and develop the team as we rapidly grow. You will use your experience to grow and mentor a team of in-house creatives with a management approach that leads with empathy to invite and foster a healthy, sustainable design culture for Amazon Music. You will work collaboratively with senior leadership and stakeholders, such as the LAT!N or Hip-Hop teams, to help define the goals of tentpole music and podcast events such as Credit the Culture and Pride, and provide the guidance, coaching, and backbone needed to allow your team to deliver bar raising creative for our fans and artists. A successful candidate will know how to nurture teams and talent to do the best work of their careers. You think holistically about the brand experience. You are a proven innovator who thrives on delivering elegant and succinct creative solutions.

About the team
The Content Marketing team is embedded within Creative Studio and reports into the Head of Creative Studio & Design Operations. This global group of designers creates designs that are informed by cultures, histories, communities, and personalities helping listeners find the content they love through clear and authentic visual signals. The creative work of the design team also serves the artists and creators on our platform to ensure their visions and journeys are celebrated. The Content Marketing team creates the playlists, stations, podcasts, and campaign creative that brings our service to life.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 10+ years as an art director, creative director, or similar role
• 5+ years experiencing managing external agencies and vendors
• 5+ years people management experience
• An online portfolio that demonstrates experience creating design systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience leading in-house creative teams
• Experience leading and working at a global scale
• Experience with high-volume asset production and automation
• Passion for Music and Podcasts
• Experience designing for digital and social platforms
