Job summary
In this role, you will lead the analytics and insights efforts for Amazon Music Engagement Marketing. You will set the analytics roadmap and direction for the domain and work with stakeholders and partners to deliver self-service solutions, insights, learning white papers and models to advance our analytics and science offerings. The ideal candidate must be willing to effectively lead analytics solutions, prioritize across multiple stakeholders and projects and be ready to jump into a fast-paced, dynamic and fun environment.
Key job responsibilities
• Lead analytics and insights efforts for Amazon Music Engagement Marketing domain
• Work as the internal lead analytics consultant for marketing teams and collaborate on long-term strategy together
• Define and deliver reporting and visualization that supports the analytical needs of internal business leaders
• Drive self-service solutions for senior business stakeholders informing marketing investment decisions
• Use analytical insights to help increase business and teams effectiveness against key strategic goals
• Build a thorough understanding of the streaming music industry, the subscription business model, and key internal partners across Prime, Amazon devices, media and entertainment businesses
• Partner with analytics and science teams across Amazon entertainment and subscription businesses
• Educate and evangelize across internal teams on analytics, insights and measurement by writing whitepapers and knowledge documentation and delivering learning sessions
About the team
The Data, Insights, Science and Optimization, Marketing & Growth (DISCO M&G) team is looking for a Senior Analytics Lead to join a team of Data Scientists, Analytics Leads, Business Intelligence Engineers and Data Engineers who analyze big data, provide analytics and insights as well as build models and algorithms that power ''hands off the wheel'' (HOTW) marketing for personalized experiences. DISCO M&G team focuses on accelerating Amazon Music customer growth by empowering Marketing & Growth teams to make sound, customer-centric decisions through data and insights. We build data pipelines, self-service analytics, insights and predictive models enabling acquisition, engagement and retention at scale with personalized customer touchpoints.
If you are a senior product manager or a business intelligence engineer who has partnered with product teams, or if you are looking for a role aligned to those skills, this is a great opportunity! This role can be based out of Seattle, New York City metro, or Atlanta.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years experience working in SQL, ETL, and OR data visualization
• Experience in complex analysis (model creation, what-if scenarios, A/B testing, etc.)
• Experience working with visualization and dashboarding
• Verbal/written communication and presentation skills, including experience to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
• Proven ability to lead analytics and insights initiatives
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• MBA or M.S./Ph.D. in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, or other quantitative field
• Analytically-driven consulting, investment bank, or other advanced/relevant background
• Experience with Python or other relevant coding language
• Experience with business intelligence software (Quicksight, Tableau or other)
• Experience in marketing, advertising technology or entertainment domain
• Knowledge of data warehouse and AWS services
• A passion for music!
