Senior Back End Engineer

Your Mission

As a Sr. Back End Engineer at Activision, you will work within the Experience Optimization group to build innovative and impactful web-based experiences and backend services. Candidates should have development experience with JSPs and the Spring Framework .

Key responsibilities include:
• Has API development experience within Cloud and Data Driven environments.
• Build and maintain tested, scalable and secure backend services using the Spring Framework.
• Collaborate with business partners, project managers, QA and UX/UI designers to ensure deliverables are met.
• Analyze site performance and make improvements.
• Familiarity with Machine Learning is a plus.
• Work in a collaborative environment with some pretty cool people.

Year 1 Success:
• Deliver localized web-based applications on-time with no critical issues to support key business milestones.
• Deliver performant and scalable backend APIs to support our web and mobile clients

Player Profile
• Working experience constructing JSPs as fragments using Apache Tiles
• Ability to formulate, review and recommend back-end software solutions in support of business objectives based on prior experience.
• Solid programming skills and proficiency with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
• Knowledge and experience with Java using the Spring Framework
• Experience with high-volume consumer facing web applications
• Expert capability in working with NoSQL and SQL databases
• Ability to work independently, learn quickly and be proactive
