Your Mission

The Sr. Manager of Revenue Accounting leads revenue accounting execution teams to record and report revenues based on the Company's business models and in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the US (US GAAP). The position requires a highly motivated individual with a proven background in revenue accounting models (software revenue recognition and ASC 606), with the mindset of converting US GAAP requirements into system and process executions. The position also requires a fundamental knowledge and experience with month end close procedures, and controls, analytics, foreign currency issues and working with external auditors. This position reports to the Director of Revenues Accounting.

The position requires working closely with the corporate accounting group, technical accounting team, business unit finance and planning teams to (1) ensure accurate understanding of our revenues arrangement, (2) identify the correct US GAAP revenue accounting treatment, (3) convert understanding and requirements into execution, and (4) communicate effectively the results with analytical checks and balances while maintain systems integrity. In addition to revenues accounting and execution knowledge, this role manages and lead teams to achieve revenues monthly close and periodic revenues reporting deliverables.

We use Oracle R12 as our accounting system, Hyperion / Essbase as our main reporting tool, and Revpro as revenue accounting execution system.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage revenue accounting teams in day-to-day revenue recognition accounting and reporting
• Manage monthly and quarterly revenue accounting closes in coordination with corporate consolidation team and calendar
• Coordinate revenues accounting system improvements partnering with vendor, IT group as well as other teams
• Perform reviews throughout the revenue accounting process to ensure final output in line with internal and external accounting and reporting requirements
• Communicate with stakeholders from business unit finance team members to senior finance executives
• Complete our internal controls and SOX requirements in relation revenues accounting and reporting
• Participate as a key stakeholder in relevant Oracle-related activities such as changes to accounts receivable, usage of revenues related accounts, or any program relating to inventor cost of sales activities.
• Special projects as required.
• Perform ad-hoc management related requests and analysis.

Player Profile

Successful candidate should possess working US GAAP revenues accounting knowledge, demonstrate good understanding of ERP system and Hyperion / Essbase reporting tools with capability of handling data volume (and be ready of rolling up the sleeves when it needs to). Candidate of senior manager level should have a minimum of 7 years of relevant working experience with tracking record of managing multiple team member, CPA and/or Controllership experience. Candidate with less experience should also apply and be considered at manager level position. Public accounting experience are highly preferred. Candidate only with public accounting experience will also be considered.
