Job Description
We are currently seeking for an experienced Payroll Specialist, APAC to join our accounting team in Activision Blizzard Shanghai office, taking full spectrum of payroll functions ranging from data collections, running payroll reports, coordinating & checking the payroll with external vendors, preparing the journal and making sure payments are made timely & accurately for APAC region.

This position requires comprehensive knowledge of payroll, and communication skills, experience in building and maintaining relationships with internal/external customers, as well as ensuring payroll process and procedures are accurately maintained and collaborate in regional compliance implementation.

Responsibilities
• Liaise with internal stakeholders (e.g. employees, HR teams etc.) and external payroll providers to complete timely and accurate full payroll calculation and payment.
• Create, amend and run recurring or adhoc reports, checking data and formatting appropriately to ensure they are suitable for use by finance colleagues or the business.
• Responsible for all employee income related tax reports, including monthly tax verification, annual tax filing process, and equity tax plan withhold and reporting.
• Familiar with expat payroll and tax related matters.
• Acts as the first point of contact for payroll enquiries and cases for locations responsible for, work on cases of moderate scope where deep dive analysis and in depth reviews are needed to shape informed decisions or outcomes.
• Own and maintain compliance on reports and data with all local regulations regarding payroll and benefits.
• Join projects impacting payroll where appropriate and acts as a key contact when payroll representation is needed outside of the team.
• Keep up to date on regulation changes for specific supported locations ensure accuracy and service to customers.
• Provide support on KPI deliverables of payroll and the team.
• Resolves employees queries on tax and paylips

Requirements
• 3+ years experiences in payroll operations, especially for Korea or Japan.
• Experience in a high volume, multi-entity, multi-state, payroll shared service-based environment.
• Knowledge of tax laws and overtime requirements in the APAC region will be a plus.
• Proven customer service skills while maintaining confidentiality mindset.
• Experienced with payroll journals and cost analysis.
• Have a proactive & positive attitude towards global payroll tasks, process improvements and changes.
• Ability to work well independently and demonstrating initiative.
• Ability to work in a fast-moving, ambitious and matrix organization.
• High attention to detail, with accuracy as a consistent trademark for all deliverables.
