Senior Market Operations Manager, LATAM (Brazil)

Location: Sao Paulo, Brazil

Reports to: Sr. Director, LATAM Operations

As part of the Regional Operations team we partner closely with internal and external stakeholders to continue broadening the reach to our players and drive our continued execution in Latin America.

The Market Operations Manager, will be the responsible to identify opportunities to leverage Activision Blizzard and its franchises through partnerships involving key and high profile stakeholders in the region (business partners, local digital distribution, third party partners, event's organizers, etc), securing exposure and positively impacting the business around our franchises in Brazil, establishing alliances with premier brands and individuals with no or low financial commitments from Blizzard. Brazil is a big focus for Activision Blizzard and the role will be crucial to assure business results.

This role will support Brazil Operations Strategic initiatives with a focus on business development, brand positioning, consumer payment experience, digital commerce, and communication opportunities for our multi-franchise portfolio. Will work very close with Sr. Director and Franchise Managers to ensure there is a joint strategy for Brazil and the region.

As Brazil Senior Market Operations, he/she will be responsible for dealing with Activision's Blizzard digital distribution and third-party partners, to maximize all franchises opportunities making sure there is alignment with the publishing strategy.

From a Regional Operations standpoint this position has the following responsibilities:
• Work with Sr. Leadership and Publishing team to further develop or establish both digital distribution in the region, following the multi-year LATAM growth plan
• Work closely with LATAM and Activision Blizzard Senior leadership to understand company's strategic approach and evaluate all new partnership and business opportunities, with the goal of tapping into unrealized revenue streams and/or amplify our brand/company awareness across the region
• Analyse, negotiate, and set up partnerships in Brazil to support the go to market plans, while ensuring the long-term profitability of the region
• Partner with the franchise managers to develop a comprehensive and integrated go-to-market and communication plans that effectively overreaching our business targets for the assigned Regional Operation projects
• Establish and enhance relationships with business partners, with intention of maximizing potential partnerships and secure exposure and positively impacting the business around our franchises
• Work with the Sr. Director and publishing team to implement price strategy and promotions
• Form an understanding for what motivates consumers to purchase and play games across Brazil and determine ways to reduce any barriers to purchase or play.
• Follow-up with partners on requests and coordinate solutions to contract / partnership / project issues where required
• Build and maintain exceptional relationships with teams across the company to execute Regional Operations plans, including the publishing teams, community, public relations, events, legal, digital marketing, and others
• Deliver precise reporting on activities and investments
• Partner with Sr. Director, Sr. Market Operations Spanish Speaking Americas, Regional, Franchise Managers, Legal, Operations, Finance, and Tax teams to ensure the local practices and initiatives are following the local regulations and laws
• Report Brazil sales results to the LATAM team
• Together with the Regional Franchise Managers oversee and approve any form of communication that impacts customers that includes pricing, offers, services and other aspects of the business that may impact the company from a consumer law standpoint
• Responsible for the Office Management and implementation of Activision Blizzard Culture in the country
• Monitors government related affairs that may impact the local operation such as taxes and regulatory matters
• Regularly travel to regional office locations to meet with local vendors, observe local market conditions, and meet with partners
• Partner with the Franchise Managers in advocating and ensuring a good relationship with 1st party teams on supporting AB titles in the region.
• Execute and provide insights to the Franchise Managers on regional needs-trends to further develop the growth on brand in the region.
• Engage with Consumer Insights teams and help understand motivations, barriers, and sentiment of AB games in the region to further develop the brands.
• Partner with Global Commercial Digital team for further maximize revenue in the region with testing, insights and information that can help better decision making.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years of business experience in the gaming, technology and/or entertainment industry in LATAM. Digital, retail, and social landscape, local market knowledge and Brazilian customers understand are considered valuable.

REQUIREMENTS
• A conscientious, flexible & results oriented individual, with strong accountability and self-motivation to work remotely. Acts independently, manages multiple tasks simultaneously and excels under pressure.
• Ability to influence multiple stakeholders & build excellent working relationship. Strong leadership/drive to mobilize teams towards execution excellence and mutual goals.
• Ability to read/understand and apply market research, business insights and industry trends.
• Strategic Thinking: ability to develop sound mid-long term brand plans for the region, translate/localize the global brand strategies into to the region, adherent to local business needs & opportunities.
• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 5-7 years' experience in business, sales, marketing/trade marketing/PR or similar role with solid background in traditional and digital media.
• Highly commercial mind-set & detailed knowledge of local market/territory and video games market
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Portuguese (Spanish is a plus).
