Your Mission

Activision Central Tech is looking for a hands-on Senior IT Engineer to help support our Mobile team and our growing Mobile division. The role is based out of Sherman Oaks, CA and will report to the Sr. IT Manager. You will be responsible for supporting our various studios in the Los Angeles area as well as providing remote support for our users and systems distributed globally. It will be essential in this role to have the capability and the willingness to provide support in all IT areas including help desk, asset management, monitoring, data storage and backup. You will need to be able to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve problems quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced, studio environment. You will also need to demonstrate the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a wide variety of teams and users.

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
• Primary support of our Mobile team and affiliates
• Tier 3 IT support for on-site and remote users
• Global desktop support including onboarding new users and hardware
• Design, install and maintain computer systems
• Provide ad hoc support for on-prem data center infrastructure (installations, upgrades and decommissioning)
• Track IT assets and equipment while ensuring all deployments adhere to security policies
• Provide technical documentation for configurations and procedures
• Lead IT-related projects that include infrastructure installations and system upgrades

Experience
• 5+ years experience in IT
• Experience in a leadership role
• Thorough understanding of Windows and Mac environments
• Experience with system management tools (ConfigMgr, Jamf) and security endpoints (Symantec, BigFix, Carbon Black)
• Experience managing LDAP (Active Directory) and productivity services (Office 365, Google Workspace)
• Basic networking (routes, security groups, firewall rules)

Extra Points
• Experience working in a game dev environment
• Experience with game development kits
• Experience with game development applications and tools (Perforce, Confluence/JIRA, Autodesk, Adobe Creative Cloud)
• Experience with virtualization, containerization, scaling (Docker, KVM, etc.)
• Experience managing file, block, and object storage architectures
• Experience with automation and scripting
