End User Computing Engineer

Job Purpose

The End User Computing Engineer will be creating, implementing, and managing Mac and Windows endpoint environment, policies, and user applications. The role will be responsible for ensuring that our endpoints are current, healthy, and in compliance with Security. In addition, the Engineer will be working closely with Support Specialists as a critical issue point to provide technical support and training.

We are looking for someone that designs and implements an epic end user experience through the services that we provide. Someone that will be successful is highly motivated in learning new technical skills, does not cut corners, and consistently collaborates well with their team members and our customers. Must possess strong knowledge of macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and tvOS MDM standard methodologies, including zero-touch provisioning, cloud identity management, process automation, and conditional access methods.

Responsibilities
• Centrally manage thousands of corporate Apple endpoints (Mac, iPhone, iPad, and AppleTV)
• Implements, operates, and maintains software distribution and endpoint management through Jamf Pro
• Lead projects to implement or enhance client endpoints and related systems
• Identify patterns and areas for improvement in assigned areas by applying scripting, automation, or application packaging and deployment methodologies
• Deliver training around client endpoint solutions to teammates and other engineering and support teams
• Continuously create, review and manage our internal documentation to ensure accuracy for our support teams and product handoff
• Provide insightful projections and recommendations for client performance, security and stability
• Manage Windows endpoints using modern management tools such as Azure AD, Intune
• Configure and tune our Microsoft Endpoint Management platform (MECM/Intune)
• Monitor our on-prem infrastructure and SaaS health and prevent risks to our services
• Develop effective documentation, tooling, and alerts to both identify and address reliability risks
• Support our Windows and Mac endpoint management infrastructure during business hours and in an on-call rotation

Requirements
• 5 years' experience in managing a Mac and Windows enterprise environment
• 5 years' experience with Windows and macOS desktop operating systems and related software
• 5 years' experience with Windows OS imaging, patching, and deployment using MECM
• 5 years' experience with Windows application packaging and deployment using MECM
• 5 years' experience managing thousands of endpoints from a centralized infrastructure with automation
• 3 years' experience with Intune
• 3 years' experience with Active Directory and GPO administration
• 2 years' experience with scripting for Windows (PowerShell, VB, etc)
• 2 years' experience with scripting for macOS (Bash, Zsh, etc)
• Working knowledge of Azure AD
• Experience with enterprise SSO (Okta, Ping, Azure AD Auth)
• Experience with Apple Business/School Manager workflows (Managed Apple IDs, Automated Device Enrollment, Managed App Distribution, etc)
• Solid understanding of computer security systems, applications, procedures, and techniques
• Understanding of Mobile Device Management/Unified Endpoint Management
• Basic knowledge of database languages (MSSQL and MySQL)
• Must work well in a fast paced, collaborative team environment

Pluses
• Working experience with fulfillment and organizational change workflows through ServiceNow
• Apple Certified Support Professional or Mac Technician (ACSP or ACMT)
• Jamf 300 Certification or above (Formerly known as CCA)
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• Relevant Microsoft Certifications (ex. MCSE: Enterprise Devices and Apps, MCSE: Mobility)
• Experience with VDI technologies, particularly VMWare Horizon
• Experience with PowerBI
• Experience with 802.1x based network authentication
• Experience with managing a global Print solution
• Understanding of ITIL framework
• Love for video games and other geeky stuff
