Position Description

As Director, Talent Insights and Research, you will be an instrumental member of the Talent Office.

This role contributes to Activision Blizzard's success by collaborating with business, People Officers and talent management leaders to facilitate pre-empt and build targeted intelligence for Activision Blizzard's future talent needs. Our hiring strategy includes a hybrid approach to passive, non-requisition driven talent that facilitates the pass through of market-qualified prospects to the Talent Acquisition organization.

Responsible for designing, building and deploying a global and geographically dispersed team of Talent Professionals and Sourcers underpinned by recruitment marketing community experts, this function curates, attracts, acquires and incubates talent to facilitate an interview ready pool of prospects across a broad range of skills segments and geographies.

Partnering with senior Talent Acquisition users and stakeholders you will provide current and predictive market leading research, intelligence and insight, which informs the Organization of rich talent seams and talent attraction strategies aimed at ensuring Activision Blizzard's Managers are always selecting from the very best talent available.

Your responsibilities will leverage quantitative analytics, predictive modeling, research design, market analysis, consulting, and soft skills applicable to talent research in an organizational setting. You will work directly with the Head of Talent and Succession Planning, as well as our People Analytics Leader, data analysts, data engineers, other data scientists, and the HR team. You serve as an active partner to HR and the Talent Office to diagnose business needs, identify areas for improvement, and maximize the use of data to help leaders achieve their goals.

Responsibilities
• Align data sources and research priorities with business priorities and take a customer-focused mindset in working with stakeholders
• Seek to understand talent related business problems and help frame them into actual research questions that can be answered with data
• Bring together the organization's data, as well as external data and research, to help our business leaders understand and act on talent challenges
• Use platforms, programming, and systems to establish single-source data to be leveraged across the business to support insights and improved decision-making
• Apply big data techniques to small data problems
• Design academically rigorous research studies within the context of our business and industry
• Lead data-driven and evidence-based research to support delivery of people metrics, reporting, and advanced and predictive analytics
• Research and recommend innovation: new platforms, tools, programs and approaches that attract active and passive candidates
• Drive deep partnerships with key stakeholders to ensure a deep understanding of the various skills and competencies needed when looking for the best talent
• Capture and interpret market trends identifying talent hot spots. Be competitor aware and leverage opportunities to Activision Blizzard's benefit
• Build Talent pools to support succession and future talent needs
• Collaborate with and communicate broadly within the people analytics team, HR, IT, Operations and the business to expand our data universe and publish analyses.

Position Requirements

Naturally curious, the successful candidate will be a stalwart supporter for data driven research and predictive analytics. Outside looking, they are plugged into what is happening in the industry, the workforce and its issues, the HR community, competitors, as well as the global marketplace.
• 10+ years' experience in the field of Insight generation and research. Ideally experience within people research, the human capital domain, consulting, and our industry
• BA or BS required
• Data-driven and highly analytical. Able to translate data and insights into meaningful visualizations and stories to drive strategy, action, and decision-making at executive levels, within HR, and with people managers
• A deep understanding of talent sourcing technology and trends would be highly advantageous
• Familiarity with tools such as Tableau and Visier would be advantageous
• Exercises traits of adaptability and good judgment to support organizational agility
• Constant learner, active listener, and passionate advocate for advancing and embedding talent insights and research across an organization
• Proven ability with implementing change in a global organization, ensuring understanding, participation and ownership
• Strong executive presence, combined with excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills
• Ability to lead a team who are focused on developing high touch points of engagement with passive candidates and key stakeholders
• Hands-on, strong bias for action and results; can operate in an unstructured environment with a focus on innovation. Collaborative and without ego.
