Job Description
Demonware's growing team requires an experienced business operations leader to deliver and expand our operational capabilities. As leader of our Studio Operations teams your goal is to ensure that all our employees receive the very best level of operational support, while they deliver outstanding engineering solutions to Activision Studios and players. You will guide our Studio Operations teams to deliver to the highest standards, evolve our culture and repeatedly knock our employees' socks off.

We have 200 -300 colleagues dotted around the world with dedicated facilities in Dublin, Ireland; Vancouver, Canada; Los Angeles, USA and Shanghai, China. You will support our studio by striving to own all operational domains, with support from engineering Directors and VPs. There is an opportunity to expand and grow in your role as you successfully lead initiatives and identify new areas for improvement. You will become a member of our supportive leadership team and report into our Studio Head.

More about the areas of focus in this role:

Studio Finance: Manage the team responsible for creation of company wide budgets, forecasts, reporting and payroll across DW locations and areas of business. Interface into Activision finance as the authority on financial matters.

Workplace Experience: Ensure that our colleagues' workplace experience is exceptional, whether in office, hybrid or remote. This includes, facilities and equipment management, studio communications and town hall content, welcoming and consistent onboarding and fun inclusive events and surprises.

Employee IT: Manage the team providing IT support and procurement to employees. This includes office and work from home IT infrastructure, VPN connectivity, account lifecycle management, console development kits and support desk.

Documentation: Lead the documentation team in working with engineering teams on consistent and accurate external and internal facing documentation.

There will be continued opportunities for the Director of Operations to lead Demonware and Activision wide initiatives. These include developing and coordinating our approach to a Future of Work response to the COVID-19 pandemic and coordinating our learning and development program.
Opportunities for new initiatives and areas of focus:
• Owning resource planning, reporting, billing, and cost attribution that is aligned with Activision's development and release goals
• Identify untapped global talent markets and remove barriers to recruiting and acquiring talent
• Build FP&A capabilities and establish analytical culture of using historical and current operational data to drive predictive analytics for the studio
• Manage content and rhythm of critical internal and external meetings
• Expand IT remit to support game builds, Jira, Confluence, Github etc.

What we are looking for
• 8+ years experience in a business operations leadership role overseeing multiple business functions, or top management consulting.
• Experienced in driving operational excellence, new initiatives, and using data collection and analysis to guide decisions.
• Effective communicator adept at leading projects and relationships with multiple levels internally and externally, across departments and cross functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to think, operate, navigate, and communicate complex or ambiguous situations at an executive level.
• Strong leadership; experience in people and change management centered on integrity, team/people, and collaborative problem solving.
• MBA preferred but not crucial.
