Staff Coordinator, Ktrk

Job Description

As the Staff Coordinator, you will work with the General Manager and department heads to support staff and station goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:
• Assist the GM with day to day management of schedule and station events.
• Assist the GM in achieving strategic priorities through events, projects, programs, etc.
• Produce a weekly newsletter for the station which may include shooting and editing for video newsletter content
• Coordinate department head and staff meetings involving the GM including coordination of all supplies, refreshments, props needed for meetings, events, etc.
• Assist GM and department heads on projects as needed
• Assist in handling last minute/unscheduled needs for staff and station
• Help create and coordinate staff activities, events, programs and projects for synergy, DE&I and team building
• Assist in production and/or planning of all station or corporate events as needed
• Help with division projects as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 1 year of administrative/operational support to a senior leader, preferably in an editorial or newsroom setting
• College diploma or equivalent work experience
• Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changing requirements
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent oral communication and writing skills required.
• Ability to work independent of direct supervision.
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate as needed to meet deadlines and accomplish objectives.
• Strong computer literacy required-demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suites
• Critical thinking and exceptional judgment and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Ability to shoot and edit non-linear video

Preferred Education
• Degree in Journalism
