Job Description
Nightline is hiring a writer to join the team, working a 4-12 shift. This role involves both news and entertainment writing for broadcast, including pages. Writers work on breaking news, shaping and crafting all the ins and outs of the show, as well as news VOs and debriefs. We are looking for someone with a passion for both news and entertainment who is a master at selling a story and can craft an open that lures and retains viewers.
Responsibilities:
Writers work closely with senior producers and the control room to develop on air copy for the anchors. Sometimes conduct research and pre-interviews. Write succinct copy to meet length restrictions on a fast-paced evening deadline structure.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be a member of the WGA union. Familiar with Inews.
Required Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
This role is considered on-site, which means the employee will work from a Company designated location on an ongoing basis.
