Job Description
Executive Producer, Syndicated Urban Entertainment Radio Show (PT)

ABC Audio, a division of ABC News, is seeking a motivated, experienced executive producer for a nationally-syndicated, daily Urban AC entertainment afternoon drive radio program.

Responsibilities:

The executive producer (EP) will work side-by-side with the program star to orchestrate and execute all aspects of each day's show, including selecting and scheduling content, topics of discussion, guests, affiliate contesting and more. The EP also will be responsible for overseeing and directing a staff of associate producers, talent and a social media producer to create, execute and promote the program. The EP will communicate directly with the program star and staff during each day's program broadcast to ensure outstanding quality and optimum execution.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and have several years of on-air radio and show programming and production experience developing on-air content for Black audiences, and a clear vision for what is necessary to go head-to head with competing afternoon drive programs and win. They will be ready to create, orchestrate and execute a plan to get the job done, including directing, developing and collaborating with a team of skilled professionals. They will have strong connections within the industry and robust contacts in the music and entertainment space with which to set up interviews with celebrities and changemakers. They must be able to think on their feet and pivot at a moment's notice to change the show schedule to respond to breaking news and adapt to changing circumstances.

Basic Qualifications:
• Several years' on-air radio and show programming and production experience developing on-air content.
• Up-to-date understanding of the Urban radio entertainment marketplace and players within it.
• Exceptional knowledge of Black entertainment, including music, film, television, streaming and music, as well as current events affecting Black America.
• Strong team collaborative and supervisory skills, and the ability to connect and productively work with highly talented, creative people.
• Robust list of industry contacts -- publicists, managers, changemakers, celebrities, etc.
• Proficiency in digital audio and video recording and editing, e.g. Adobe Premiere, Adobe Audition, etc.
• Strong social media understanding, experience and engagement.
• Sharp attention to detail and ability to work effectively as a team member against daily deadlines.

Required Education
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
