Coordinator, Editing Operations - Hulu/ Ph

Job Description

The ABC News Editing Operations team is hiring a Editing Operations Coordinator on a long term project basis. This position assists the Editing Operations Team with all of the administrative and technical needs to fulfill the content delivery deadlines of Hulu, DMED and other various internal/external OTT platforms. The candidate will communicate with all ABC News Production Teams, external vendors and worldwide post facilities on a regular basis.

Responsibilities:

The candidate will work closely with a staff of Digital Operations Managers on multiple simultaneous long-form projects from inception to archive. Knowledge of digital post workflows including manual/automated ingest, multi-res proxy editing and flat color workflows are critical. They will also be expected to help maintain and manage an ASPERA based P2P Landing Pad where all incoming/outgoing media assets reside for processing.

Candidate must have the ability to work in a high-pressure News environment and should be able to handle and prioritize unexpected deadline changes. The candidate will also be responsible for facilitating edit session for secondary and tertiary deliveries of the same project in different forms for various clients. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Editing Operations.

Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of relative experience (strong internship experience considered)
• A deep understanding of Avid MC & Interplay.
• A strong background in long-form post workflows including multi-res proxy editing and flat color workflows.
• Knowledge of Telestream products including Vantage, Switch and Glim helpful.
• Highly detailed organizational skills and assignment proactivity is a must.
• Basic knowledge of both Physical & Virtual editing environments is preferred.
• Basic knowledge Adobe AE, AME and PS.

Preferred Education
• Bachelor's degree preferred
