Job Description

At Disney Branded Television, you'll help us tell inclusive stories that entertain, inform and inspire families around the globe. The HR Specialist plays a meaningful role in shaping memorable employee experiences and enabling a culture of creativity and belonging. Working side by side with a team of HR Business Partners, the Specialist advises employees/clients on the appropriate interpretation and application of HR policies, processes and practices. They work with subject matter experts and leaders to help provide comprehensive support of employees' career journeys at Disney.

Responsibilities:
• Act as a main point of contact for administration of and questions related to HR policies and processes, including onboarding, recognition programs, leaves of absence and staffing needs
• Prioritize and act on client requests with urgency, partnering with others on needs that require additional support (e.g., Employee Relations, Compensation, Organization Management, Talent Acquisition, Global HR Operations)
• Give special attention to sensitive situations (e.g. involuntary separation) and coaching leaders on the steps involved to ensure a seamless experience for the business and the employees
• Serve as the knowledge manager for a team of HR Business Partners – maintain accurate data, reporting and org charts, proactively document and organize information where you see a need, share best practices across the group, and suggest process improvements
• Project-manage annual processes, such as year-end conversations, compensation planning, talent calibration, etc.
• Lead and support special projects, such as research and findings, communications, and program design

• Strong, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information in a clear and courteous manner appropriate for the audience (individual contributor to executive level)
• Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to handle multiple competing priorities, while delivering on high quality results and follow through
• Relationship focused, with an approachable style and ability to establish rapport with employees and key partners at all levels
• Resourceful in navigating various company policies and processes, in order to ensure a comprehensive response to a client need, or inquiry
• Proven ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly ambiguous environment
• Adaptable in navigating through change
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Outlook, SAP and/or Workday

Preferred Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in human resources

Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business Management, Human Resources Management or related discipline
