Administrative Assistant, Current Programming, ABC Entertainment (DGE)
ABC Entertainment Group develops and produces compelling programming for broadcast on ABC in addition to other television and digital platforms. The group includes ABC Entertainment, which is responsible for all network primetime and late-night entertainment programming.
Responsibilities:
• Provides administrative support to two ABC Entertainment Current programming executives (as well as provides support to some ABC News and Synergy work)
• Proactively manages smooth operations of the executives' calendars and offices, being mindful of deadlines and priorities
• Organizes heavy calendar scheduling, facilitates heavy email and phone correspondence; submits expense reports and books travel arrangements
• Collaborates with studio executives, producers and writing staffs to ensure timely delivery of creative feedback for on-air programs
• Prepares grids for company-wide report, including writing summaries of creative material and tracking key production information
• Organizes submissions of writers, directors and producers; creates staffing lists; facilitates general meetings
• Reads and reviews creative material from shows and provides feedback as necessary
• Provides additional support to other executives and department as needed
Basic Qualifications:
• Prior administrative experience supporting an executive(s) in a high volume, deadline-driven desk in entertainment
• Ability to successfully coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
• Demonstrated organizational skills
• Superior attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must have a passion for television and the desire for a career in TV
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision
• Must work well under pressure and deadlines
• Willingness to work overtime with short notice
• Proficient knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel
• Proficiency in cloud based file management, i.e. Dropbox
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior administrative assistant experience at a studio, network, production company or talent agency
• Understanding of the television development process and cycles
• Knowledge of agencies and networks
• SAP experience
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
