Job Description

As a key member of our Production and Corporate Accounting teams, you will be involved in all aspects of our production tax incentives across film, television, and documentary projects. You will work closely with the Production and Post-Production teams, as well as the Corporate Finance and Accounting teams to ensure production incentives are managed through the full life cycle from application, monitoring and tracking, through recoupment and sale, focusing on deadlines and processing, while liaising between the respective state tax offices and productions to facilitate the monetization of our incentives.

Initial Responsibilities
• Be the company expert on both domestic and international production incentives as it relates to applications, timing, and structure
• Submit applications for production incentives - gathering the various documents required in the application phases, reviewing productions' budgeted incentive estimates, etc.
• Create and maintain an internal incentives document system including creating tracking plans with timelines to ensure we meet all necessary deadlines, keeping production incentive estimates up-to-date, tracking incentive receipts, and updating the anticipated timing of outstanding incentives
• Monitor the incentive-related work of our on-set accounting teams to ensure that budget tagging is being done properly and that all deadlines production requirements are met
• Work closely with the respective third party CPA auditors and various partners - tracking the timing of their reporting, gathering audit documentation, retrieving initial opinion letter estimates, and ensuring they have the necessary items to commence and complete their audits.
• Oversee the staffing for production incentive work (manage hiring of on-set and third-party auditors) and ensure each plan is properly reflected in the production's budget
• Research available incentives and advise production teams on potential opportunities

Qualifications
• 6+ years of previous experience in production accounting with at least 3 years experience working with production incentives
• Experience working either in-house for a studio or production company in a production finance / accounting role or as a freelance production accountant
• Experience working with production accounting softwares and Movie Magic Budgeting
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business with an emphasis in accounting, or a related field preferred
• Motivated self-starter skilled in multitasking, time management, and strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communicator across multiple departments in a cross-functional component
• Humble, diligent and resourceful
