Global Content Services & Operations consists of a wide range of media centric roles. We are responsible for managing the entire life cycle of A+E's programming. This is where we produce, transform, broadcast and distribute content as well as run the tech infrastructure for the Media Supply chain. Reporting to the Manager, Content Publishing & Metadata Operations, Global Content Distribution Services, the Supervisor, Metadata Operations is responsible for the day-to-day execution of the Metadata Operations team and provides operational support with the acquisition, curation and approval processes surrounding the distribution of metadata. The Supervisor maintains an enterprise level standard of metadata support for XML partner publishing, industry standards compliance (i.e., EMA), new partner onboarding and change requests in support of the fulfillment of A+E Networks' programming across global platforms and high profile digital partners. This includes Video-On-Demand, TV Everywhere, OTT, SVOD, Brand Sites and cross-platform apps and devices both domestically and internationally. This position often requires the ability to prioritize multi-tiered requests, work through a large volume of content at a steady pace and delegate complex tasks as needed. It may also require working during off hours and during the weekend.

MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Ensure the timely and accurate provisioning and quality of metadata content in accordance with our contractual obligations and business objectives.
• Lead quality control and proofing of metadata values for XML, XLS, CSV, and portal delivery to our various distribution partners, as well as our owned and operated products.
• Assist with long term project execution under the direction of the department manager by setting timelines for completion of project milestones, tracking tasks and identifying any resource requirements or training needs.
• Primary point of escalation for programming changes, publishing issues, metadata updates (MDUs) and special requests.
• Facilitate a high level of customer support by maintaining an appropriate level of communication, responsiveness, and expertise, in support of our internal business clients, external vendors and contracted business partners.
• Have an in-depth understanding of the team's responsibilities, interdepartmental workflows, and project goals.
• Generate and maintain standard operating procedures and training to ensure success of the Metadata Operations team.
• Work with technical teams to provide support and perform UAT testing on the development associated with new and existing workflows and emerging technology.
• Provide daily progress reports and feedback on departmental activity and employee performances to the department manager.
• Quickly learn complex and continually changing workflows.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:

YOUR STORY:
• Education degree in data science preferred.
• 3-5 years prior experience in metadata curation, standardization, and delivery.
• A broad and thorough knowledge of metadata standards, xml deliveries and operational requirements.
• The ability to ensure a high-quality and consistent metadata experience for our viewership in support of the enterprise.
• Work as a metadata subject matter expert and clearly translate this knowledge to the department manager and business stakeholders.
• Must be detail-oriented with exceptional organizational, time management and communication skills.
• Experience with metadata best practices, SEO, and taxonomy.
• Experience with digital delivery protocols and technologies (FTP, SFTP, Aspera).
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Google Sheets and/or Airtable.
• Able to prioritize multiple projects while accommodating for constantly evolving workflows.
• Oversee complex projects where a precedent may or may not exist.
• Identify complex technical issues and articulate said issues to technical support teams.
• Ability to work collaboratively across a highly cross-functional and fast-paced environment.
• Must have a flexible schedule and willing to work evenings and weekends.
