Production Operations and Engineering consists of a wide range of media centric roles. We are responsible for managing the entire life cycle of A+E's programming. This is where we produce, transform, broadcast and distribute content as well as run the tech infrastructure for the Media Supply chain. Job Description

The Senior Supervising Editor is a highly experienced post production professional with extensive technical and creative expertise. This role is responsible for supervising a team of editors and preditors working in Adobe Premiere and Avid to edit and version scripted, non-scripted, factual, reality and live program content for linear broadcast and global distribution. The SSE is also a working position that is assigned daily editing projects.

MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Manage a team of Editors and Preditors, recruiting and training new personnel when needed
• Conduct performance reviews, goal setting and ongoing dialogue as required for editorial team.
• Act as a key contributor and subject matter expert in the design and rollout of A+E's cloud-based editing workflows
• Coordinate with various technical and admin support teams to identify the appropriate editorial resources from your team for upcoming projects.
• Collaborate with Post Production Management to offer insight and ideas for streamlining various edit and output processes and maximizing workflows
• Develop Editing SOPs and Best Practices documentation, and provide training to new and existing team members.

You'll have exposure to all the inner workings of what it takes to get our content through our media supply chain and out in front of the eyes of the world. And, you'll collaborate with operational teams throughout our technical facilities as well as departments and stakeholders from across the company.

You have a passion for both creative storytelling and the tools of the editor's craft. You are nimble, resilient and comfortable working on diverse content across our brand portfolio.

You enjoy collaborating with and supervising people, and are able to provide thoughtful, kind feedback and insights to others. You communicate professionally, and are able to raise up problems and concerns in concise, actionable terms.

You are an expert at online or finishing editing with the ability to think on your feet in order to usher a large volume of high-profile shows to completion.

MORE ABOUT YOU:
• 7+ years of experience editing factual and reality content in a production company, cable or network environment
• Supervisory experience of other production/editorial professionals a plus
• Advanced-level proficiency with Adobe Premiere, Avid, After Effects and ProTools
• In-depth understanding of technical deliverable requirements for global and US distribution
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Prior experience with Airtable a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Television Production/Communication or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Bi-lingual, fluent in written and spoken Spanish and English a plus but not required.

Compensation
Hourly Pay Range: $43.87 - $65.07

Annual Incentive Target: 5%

The annual/hourly pay range displayed serves as a good faith estimate of the

minimum and maximum base pay range for this role. Compensation for the role will

be based on a number of different factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills,
