The majority of our employees will have flexibility that allows them to choose a predominantly remote, predominantly in-office, or hybrid setup. Our official in-office locations in the United States includes LA, NYC, Stamford, and Chicago, and we have several other states in which employees may work remotely if their role isn't one that requires them to be in or near the office. THE DIVISION'S STORY
No matter the content, none of our great programming would air without the expertise of the Distribution team. We are the group that meets and negotiates with the companies that broadcast our content. We're also quick on our feet. As technology changes the media landscape, impacting viewer behavior and traditional models, we pivot to deliver new solutions that extend our content, brand and reach. While much of our work takes place in meeting rooms behind the scenes, our results are out there for all to see.
• Work closely with distribution partners at various levels to support all stages of the distribution lifecycle (e.g. subscriber acquisition, engagement/retention, technical cooperation, joint marketing initiatives, roadmap planning, etc.)
• Responsible for building strong business relationships with key decision makers and managing contract negotiations with assigned local MVPD accounts
• Provide support to the Senior Sales team by participating in negotiations with high profile accounts (MVPD, Satellite, OTT) across distribution platforms and potential new entrants
• Build strong relationships and collaborate cross-departmentally to provide a high level of customer service internally and externally. This includes Marketing, Ad Sales, Research, PR, Legal & Business Affairs, Digital Content Licensing, and other relevant business units
• Work with the Distribution Marketing team to compile and deliver programming update presentations for clients, project manage the creation and delivery of custom marketing assets for assigned accounts, and support brand promotional campaigns for Distribution Partners
• Manage client databases and other sales tracking tools to orchestrate client outreach and communications
• Conduct research on and analyze distribution developments, services and monitor competitive activities, while identifying the needs and interests of customers to manage risk and identify growth opportunities
YOUR STORY: Qualifications
• Bachelor's or recent master's degree in Communications, Media, Marketing, or Business
• 3 years of sales, marketing, partnership, business development or business affairs experience
• Basic understanding of cable and OTT distribution platforms and the content distribution process
• Excellent verbal communication, business writing and presentation skills
• A team player with strong inter-personal skills and collaborative communication
• Ability to take initiative and drive for results while being flexible and comfortable with change
• Proficiency in commonly used software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
• A working knowledge of marketing design software and tools
• Ability to work across time zones and a variety of business platforms and cultures
• Some travel required
