Work Locations: With the exception of some select roles that have in-office requirements, A+E Networks operates on a flexible model that allows for remote, hybrid or full time in office work (in certain locales).
Office locations include New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Stamford, CT.

Division Story
Production Operations and Engineering consists of a wide range of media centric roles. We are responsible for managing the entire life cycle of A+E's programming. This is where we produce, transform, broadcast and distribute content as well as run the tech infrastructure for the Media Supply chain. Job Description

Our Editors are responsible for making our content visually and audibly compelling using an expert array of skills and tools including Avid/Adobe Premiere editing, color correction and audio mixing. Editors collaborate with our producing staff to create, version and prepare content across A+E Networks' diverse and exciting portfolio. Editors will be expected to have mastery of our enterprise technical specifications and operating procedures. Deliverables will be expected to meet or exceed our quality requirements for global mastering and distribution. This staff role reports to the Senior Supervising Editor.

MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Leverage a variety of source materials including existing masters, raw and archival footage, images, audio stems, closed captions, graphics packages, and After Effects files for use in Edit.
• Work with post producers on color grading and audio mixing
• Partner with our editorial support staff to ensure that materials used in your edit sessions are ingested, transcoded and/or standards converted using industry best practices to safeguard the quality.
• Collaborate with our media management and editorial staff to ensure that projects and media are organized properly for easy access and centralization.
• Adhere to departmental best practices for versioning control, naming conventions, and storage of files and media assets.
• Upon completion of Edit, ensure that projects are successfully ready for conform and archive.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:

You'll have exposure to all the inner workings of what it takes to get our content through our media supply chain and out in front of the eyes of the world. And, you'll collaborate with operational teams throughout our technical facilities as well as departments and stakeholders from across the company.

YOUR STORY:

You have a passion for both creative storytelling and the tools of the editor's craft. You are nimble, resilient and comfortable working on diverse content across our brand portfolio.

You can demonstrate technological understanding of color space, video and audio measurements, file formats, frame-rates, and format conversions.

You hold yourself accountable for success with minimal supervision, and can prioritize and manage your time effectively.

You communicate professionally, and are able to raise up problems and concerns in concise, actionable terms. You are able to confidently consider and apply creative input, and provide thoughtful insights to others as part of the collaborative process.

You are an expert at online or finishing editing with the ability to think on your feet in order to usher a large volume of high-profile shows to completion.

MORE ABOUT YOU:
• 5+ years of experience editing factual and scripted content in a production company or network environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Television Production/Communication or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Avid, Adobe Premiere, After Effects and ProTools.
• Understanding of technical deliverable requirements for global and US distribution.
• Full Knowledge of broadcast and digital standards and video formats.
• Understanding of color correction principles and techniques in an edit environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Prior experience with Airtable a plus.
• Bi-lingual, fluent in written and spoken Spanish and English a plus but not required.

Compensation
Hourly Pay Range: $31.28 - $62.50

Annual Incentive Target: 5%

The annual/hourly pay range displayed serves as a good faith estimate of the

minimum and maximum base pay range for this role. Compensation for the role will

be based on a number of different factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills,

competencies, location, and experience. A+E offers a competitive total compensation
