Work Locations: With the exception of some select roles that have in-office requirements, A+E Networks operates on a flexible model that allows for remote, hybrid or full time in office work (in certain locales).
Office locations include New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Stamford, CT.

Production Operations and Engineering consists of a wide range of media centric roles. We are responsible for managing the entire life cycle of A+E's programming. Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Global Content Services & Operations, this position is a key leader within the Media Operations team based in Stamford, CT. This group is responsible for the development and evolution of the media supply chain, governance and best practices across all PAM, MAM, DAM, and CAM systems, additionally will guide the teams focused on the migration of library and on-premises video, audio, and graphic assets, and all metadata. This role will work collaboratively with operations, technology, engineering, production, and postproduction teams to ensure a standardized and scalable architecture is leveraged to support a global supply chain processes and cloud archive/s.

As A+E Networks continues to shift their workflows to the cloud, this role will join an existing team to deliver best in class, innovative solutions, and contribute to our shift to a cloud first infrastructure for media operations. The Director, Cloud Archive Strategy & Management role will be the primary point of contact for the development of standards, processes, procedures, metadata retainment, and other functions related to ''cloud'' operations. In this role, you will actively assess current blockers in our goal to build a best-in-class cloud archive, discover and implement best practices for both on-premises and cloud systems of record, and ideate and help solution A+E's cloud archive.

The Director, Cloud Archive Strategy & Management role will assist the Senior Vice President, Global Content Services and Operations with strategic operations to support planning and provide oversight of all aspects of a global archive management, including metadata for descriptive, structural, technical, and administrative, from defining requirements, determining level of effort (LOE), developing, and executing best practices. This individual will lead a team of Coordinators and will partner directly with our Operations, Technology, and Engineering teams to guide critical technical initiatives in support of Post In-Sourcing, Bulk Fulfillment and distribution, third-party vendor archives, and component-based delivery support and product feature enhancements for a global supply chain.

MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Engage directly with SVP, VPs, Senior Directors and Director level executives to provide analysis of technical specifications and related business requirements required to provide strategic recommendations on archive strategy and technical approach, including the authoring of RFPs and Statement of Work (SOW) documentation.
• Provide proactive and proficient problem solving to manage risk, remove blockers, and ideate and implement creative, scalable, and sustainable archive strategies, technical solutions, E2E ingest workflows, content analysis with the goal to support business objectives of increases fulfillment and asset monetization.
• Manage and drive multiple interdependent projects of moderate to high complexity and scope.
• Effectively recruit and manage a team of two talented technical professionals that will assist the Director to ensure continuous improvement of process and workflow disciplines and to disseminate knowledge and seize opportunities to empower and share best practices with others across the division.
• Translate business requirements to functional specifications and collaborate with our Engineering and Technology teams on architecture designs and development schedules from design to delivery.
• Responsible for the operational development, scale, and best practices of all on-premises and cloud-based archives (AWS, Google, IBM, etc.), assist in the migration of a single global asset delivery workflow, based up a component-based intake and delivery model.
• Build positive, trusting relationships through consistent, on-time delivery of commitments and effective communication.

• Provide leadership with a focus on collaboration, transparent communication, innovative problem solving, proactive ownership, and maintaining an industry leading standard of excellence.

YOUR STORY: [+BEHAVIORS] (what you need to have)
• 10+ years of experience in supply chain modernization, on-premises, and cloud archives, including migration experience of on-premises to cloud projects, project management and agile development methodologies with a proven track record of delivering results.
• Extensive knowledge of video formats, processing, standards conversions, postproduction (Avid, Adobe Creative Cloud, transport tools), and production environments
• Experience standardizing master assets, knowledge on secure archives, permissions and security practices, and metadata models
• Metadata guru.
• Positive personality, a sense or awareness of urgency (where appropriate)
