Production Operations and Engineering consists of a wide range of media centric roles. We are responsible for managing the entire life cycle of A+E's programming. This is where we produce, transform, broadcast and distribute content as well as run the tech infrastructure for the Media Supply chain. This role reports to Broadcast Operations, based in our Stamford, Connecticut location. The FAST Coordinator would be assigned to scheduling and checking FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV) channel logs. This person elevates issues and errors discovered in FAST scheduling, working closely with our Digital, Distribution, and Marketing partners. The duties in this position also support Broadcast Operations with daily functions, finalizing linear broadcast schedules and validating asset readiness for final transmission as needed or assigned.
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Support Distribution or Digital in finalizing FAST logs using the WURL scheduling tool and any other scheduling partners
• Schedule programs in cross referencing Wurl/Google Sheets.
• Loop and save a full day/week for each network.
• Check a log and validate: Sonic open schedule, program schedule, over/under runs, check that scheduled promos are up to date.
• Check program schedule and add/delete slates accordingly.
• Learn to fill your workspace with channel specific elements/assets.
• Learn the difference, and how to schedule Ad Slates and Promos to fill out the day.
• Check that series specific artwork is attached to each episode in the lineup.
Support Linear Logs & Scheduling as Needed
• Learn to Unfinalize and finalize logs in Wide Orbit including changing log stages as needed.
• Learn to use Bridge On Demand module to bring in the secondary events schedule as needed.
• Learn to validate the secondary events schedule in Bridge's Secondary Events Manager.
• Learn to generate playlist files in Bridge for any network assigned.
Support Broadcast Media Operations in Media Asset Readiness as assigned
• Validate and QC on-air Programs ensuring their content and timing is as scheduled and expected.
• Monitor and validate the Advance Air Feed making sure that all assets scheduled in that time-block are valid and accurate
• Document and escalate errors or issues found to the appropriate department for confirmation or correction.
• Support Branding by confirming graphics as scheduled in daily duties and advance monitoring.

YOUR STORY:
• Bachelor's degree in communications, film, television or related field preferred
• Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Solid oral and written communication skills
• Both an analytical and creative thinking mind-set
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
