The Job

The Media Planning Intern is a position that offers a variety of opportunities to leverage traditional and digital media insights in the ever-changing advertising landscape. It is an educational internship that exposes an intern to all aspects of advertising, inside and outside of the agency on amazing brands like [adult swim] and Cartoon Network, or tbs, TNT, truTV, & CNN.

This intern will support the Associate Media Director and extended KAYAC (i.e. Kids and Young Adult Classics) Media Department OR Entertainment & News media team with the assistance of account assignments and/or campaigns, including the effective preparation of media plans and recommendations, and the implementation of media buys for all assigned accounts.

The Daily
• Assist with campaign objectives through contact with account management, creative, media and research.
• Learn about the media planning process from briefing, strategy, planning, all the way through buy execution & final reporting.
• Learn advertising-related computer programs like Tableau, Npower, Google ads, Google Analytics, Adobe, Mobile Measurement Platforms, etc.
• Attend media vendor capabilities meetings from numerous companies to be better informed on their property as well as the market they reach.
• Responsible for the trafficking and control of creative materials.
• Maintains approved Plans in the corresponding software (i.e. UNIFY).
• Brainstorm and plan new, innovative client campaigns.
• Help manage spec & deadline deliveries for approved media plan (OLV, Digital, TV, OOH, etc.)
• Reviewing digital analytics reporting from the agency to recap for marketing teams.
• Developing Media presentations, analysis, and reports.

Internship Program
• Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for the full duration of the internship
• Spring 2022 program dates are January 24th - April 15th; must be available for full program duration
• Part-time schedule (16-24 hours/week) designed to work around class schedule
• Company-issued computer provided for the duration of the internship program.
