Summer 2022 Hybrid Intern, Warner Brothers Animation (Production Intern)

The Job

Warner Bros. Animation Inc. seeks an Animation intern for the WBA TV Production department. Position will gain insight and knowledge of the animation industry by way of practical learning experience and exposure to various facets of the business. Candidates applying for this role will have an opportunity work on one of the following upcoming productions: Gremlins, Tiny Tune Adventures, Jellystone or Harley Quinn.

The Daily
• Organizes and key words artwork for archive
• Assists Assistant Production Manager with assembling model/design packets
• Photocopies & distributes scripts, storyboards, & all pre-production materials. Performs filing as needed
• May have the opportunity to work on artistic projects if applicable
• Updates and maintains internal artwork catalog
• Assists design Assistant Production Manager in tracking artwork
• Organizes out-going pre-production shipments to overseas studios
• Depending on the needs of the production, will have an opportunity to learn black/white & color design; simple background; and revisionist work
• Prepares storyboards for animatic import
• Handles interoffice deliveries and distribution
• Under direction of managerial staff, assists with communications between management and crew
• Take notes during production meetings
• Uploading assets and shots to SG and creating playlists
• Researching in Cumulus and pulling relevant assets out
• Help artists with materials and organization
• File paperwork, record material, scripts, and any other production resources
• Take notes during review sessions with creatives
• Create and organize meetings when asked
• Performs other job related duties as assigned

The Essentials
• High school diploma required. Must be enrolled in college
• Some previous work experience preferred
• Familiarity with animation industry helpful
• Knowledge of MAC, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook required
• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop required
• Proficiency with FileMaker Pro preferred
• Proficiency with ToonBoom Storyboard Pro preferred
• Knowledge of file set-up, maintenance and filing procedures
• Knowledge of basic math, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and English usage
• Knowledge of report, letter, logs, etc. formats required
• Some artistic ability preferred
• Must have the ability to organize and schedule work effectively
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with persons on all levels, in person and on the telephone
• Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail and understand written and oral instructions
• Must have the ability to work well under time constraints
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks
• Must be able to handle confidential information

Internship Program
• Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for the full duration of the internship
• Summer 2022 program dates are June 6th - August 12th (additional time frames are available for students in a university quarter system); must be available for full program duration
• Full-time schedule (40 hours/week)
