Job Description

The Job:
WarnerMedia seeks a Metadata Analyst for the Metadata Services department.
Reporting to the Director of Metadata Services, the Metadata Analyst performs the review and creation of master data records for Warner Media's content description and annotation databases. This role works closely with a variety of business units, including linear and non-linear brand content programming representatives, content scheduling and acquisitions, ensuring client metadata requirements are met. The Metadata Analyst promotes and maintains consistency and accuracy for Warner Media's master metadata records for all brands, including HBO Max. This role responds to daily service tickets, fulfilling and reconciling client data requests while adhering to established standards and content scheduling deadlines. This role also troubleshoots data record issues and metadata systems problems, communicating to Metadata Specialists on client request status. Participates in the development of departmental standards and works closely with systems developers on metadata systems requirements. Aligns on systems development sprints, performing and reporting on user acceptance testing. This role works with and supports the Metadata Specialists in the development and implementation of controlled vocabularies and metadata standards. This position requires a strong working knowledge of descriptive metadata systems and annotation tools and possess the ability to succeed in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.

The Daily:
• Responds to client requests via service tickets or emails for accurate creation of data records and metadata updates to the Warner Media content descriptive databases, within deadline. Works with brand representatives, including HBO Max, to ensure data requests conform to Warner Media metadata schemas and standards. Works on 3rd party metadata submissions for distribution platforms.
• Regularly attends and represents the department in network programming and operational meetings. Works closely with systems development teams on requirements and enhancements, including participating in user acceptance testing. Works on Metadata Services departmental data projects.
• Works with team department team leads and clients to identify areas for improvement. Troubleshoots data problems in advance before being published to clients and consumers.

The Essentials:
• Experience with databases and/or asset annotation systems helpful
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Experience creating or updating data that support metadata management helpful.

Internship Program:
• Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for the full duration of the internship
• Summer 2022 program dates are June 6th - August 12th; must be available for full program duration (additional time frames are available for students in a university quarter system).
• Full-time schedule (40 hours/week)
