The Job

Work with software and data engineers from data product engineering and privacy engineering to solution, build and implement data product outputs supporting audience creation and distribution, robust identity and consent mappings, and TV viewership data modeling for linear and on-demand content. Collaborate to implement data engineering and data science solutions in Scala, SQL, Python, Javascript leveraging frameworks like Spark, NodeJS, Airflow, and others. Create and integrate engineering implementations of data science models, build out technical solution diagrams representing the solution, and perform demos and presentations of the achieved solutions and solution architectures.

The Daily
• Collaborate on solution development with other senior technical members of engineering and data science teams
• Implement technical solutions in Scala, Python, Javascript or other languages and frameworks as appropriate Document and present technical solutions
• Provide creative thought leadership for new and potential problem sets with other technical peers and leaders

The Essentials
• Current enrollment and nearing completion of an engineering discipline with emphasis on computer science concepts, data processing, or statistics.
• Experience in creating materials and giving presentations using the Microsoft Office 365 suite of tools
• Ability to rationalize complex computational challenges including object frames, sharding and clustering, parallel data computations, and cloud-native fundamentals such as use of Amazon AWS or SQL data warehouses.
• Data science, analytics, or statistics understanding and competencies to grade and evaluate statistic models

Internship Program
• Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for the full duration of the internship
• Summer 2022 program dates are June 6th – August 12th (additional time frames are available for students in a university quarter system); must be available for full program duration
• Full-time schedule (40 hours/week)
