The Job:

The Summer 2022 WMNS Diversity, Equity & Inclusion intern will report into the Project Manager, WMNS Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. This intern work directly with departments across the organization to help facilitate internal mentoring and development initiatives as well as plan and execute our presence at external diversity conferences and conventions. The Summer 2022 intern will play an integral role in the facilitation of on-going programming and the implementation of internal pilot initiatives.

The Daily:
• Provides coordinator-level support to the WarnerMedia News and Sports Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team.
• Helps with providing logistical support for on-going diversity and inclusion initiatives within the News and Sports division such as:
• Conference participation and recruiting efforts
• External partnerships & internal development programs
• Employee engagement initiatives
• Assists with tracking project status/timelines accordingly and update to reflect on-going status; interns will share updates with the team.
• Coordinates logistics around minority journalism convention sponsorships (event planning; guest lists; catering and more).
• Maintains team databases that include key internal stakeholders; external partners (journalism organizations); awards; program participants; industry contacts etc.
• Intern will work on special projects as needed.

Internship Program
• Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for the full duration of the internship
• Summer 2022 program dates are June 6th - August 12th (optional time frames are available for students in a university quarter system); must be available for full program duration
• Full-time schedule (40 hours/week) required
• Company-issued computer provided for the duration of the internship program.
