For our 2022 programs, we are committed to providing mentorship and development. Walt Disney Animation Studios' Internship Program provides emerging talent with an immersive view of animation through educational seminars on craft and filmmaking, reinforced by individual and technical projects.

Responsibilities:

The Render Services team at Walt Disney Animation Studios is responsible for the architecture and design of our high-performance compute and storage infrastructure, as well as the development and support of our in-house queueing system.

We are looking for an intern to join our team with a general background in technology and a specific interest in one or more of the project areas listed below.

Projects Include:
• The Render Services team has various projects available in several areas, including compute orchestration, storage architectures, CI/CD pipelines, web services, large data set collection and analysis, database development, and hybrid cloud computing.

Basic Qualifications:

KEY QUALIFICATIONS/EXPECTATIONS
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with Python
• Experience with Linux or other Unix operating systems
• Experience with command-line tools and shells

Preferred Qualifications:

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with C++
• Experience with distributed systems
• Network File Systems

Required Education

Currently enrolled undergraduate student studying Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Software Engineering or related field at an accredited college/university and returning to school following the internship.

Additional Information:
• At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization
• Must provide full work availability
• Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are May/June - August/September 2022. Interns must be fully available for the duration of a 12-week assignment.
• Please note, the safety and well-being of our teams is very important to us. Based on government recommendations, we will determine whether this program will be in-person at our Burbank, CA studio or virtual in the coming months.
