Walt Disney Animation Studios Summer Internship Program is a 12 week paid experience designed for students studying art, animation, computer graphics, and film. The 2023 Summer Intern program begins May 2023. Please note, the safety and well-being of our teams is very important to us. We will be determining whether this program will be in-person at our Burbank, CA studio or virtual in the coming months based on government recommendations.

Post Production Internship

The Post Production Intern reports to the Director, Post Production to support aspects of the Post Production process for Walt Disney Animation Studios.

Responsibilities include:
• Supporting the daily needs of the Post Production Management staff.
• Coordinate software/hardware requests and tool improvement with the Technology department
• Scheduling/Book
• Internal and external recording room, theaters, and mixing sound stages
• Executives and filmmakers calendars for reviews and playbacks
• Note taking for sound design review, mix and editorial playbacks, and other post production needs.
• Ticket tracking and following through for transfer room requests, content deliveries and marketing needs.
• Security verification
• Ensure vendor authenticity, compliance and current validity
• Manage Pix accounts to maintain confidential and secure delivery of pre-release content
• Tracking, invoicing, and budgets
• Tracking paying Vendor invoices
• Purchasing of editorial equipment and SAP Purchases
• Expense Reports

Required qualifications:
• Excellent attention to details and accuracy, strong time management, and organization skills
• Proactive and resourceful
• Ability to take initiative and work with limited supervision
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, change course of action quickly and maintain professionalism under pressure
• Interpersonal, listening, communication skills both verbal and written
• People skills, including the ability to work with and maintaining relationships with outside vendors
• Proficient with Macintosh, Microsoft Word, Excel, Calendar marker, Keynote, Google calendar and Google docs

Desired Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Photoshop
• Awareness of animation workflow in CG
• Awareness of editorial pipeline
