2023 United States Football League (USFL) Internship Program - Ticket Operations Intern - Memphis, TN

JOB DESCRIPTION

The USFL is an American football league owned by FOX Sports that delivers high-quality, innovative professional football played in the spring and early summer. There are eight teams split into two divisions. Each team plays a 10-game schedule followed by 4-team semifinals and a championship game. FOX Sports is an official broadcast partner of the USFL and will air games on a weekly basis.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree during the length of the program
• Current class standing of sophomore (second-year college student) or above
• Committed and available to work for the entire length of the program
• Access to own housing and transportation to/from the assigned internship site for on-site opportunities
• Must be able to work on-site in Memphis, TN

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assisting Ticket Operations Manager with game day box office operations
• Remote customer assistance during the season and on game days in stadium
• Assist with gameday box office set up and tear down
• Become knowledgeable on Ticketmaster system to:
• Assist with customer resolution
• Assist with player/staff/VIP ticket distribution
• Help patrons to quickly and efficiently purchase ticket and enter the stadium
• Review ingress process at gates and report progress
• Become proficient in Ticketmaster reporting capabilities to:
• Convey ingress status to Football Operations
• Provide attendance numbers to management
• Assist with complimentary ticket distribution
• Other duties as assigned

STUDENTS ACCEPTED INTO THE USFL INTERNSHIP PROGRAM:
• Must provide a copy of an unofficial transcript or letter from the adviser/registrar showing proof of enrollment

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to learn and operate Ticketmaster Archtics and Host ticketing system
• Ability to work weekend during season (April-June)

2023 USFL Internship Program Dates:
• General Application Deadline: Friday, February 24, 2023
• Program Timeline: Monday, March 13, 2023, to Sunday, July 2, 2023
• Scheduled Weekly Hours: Minimum of 16 hours per week (up to a maximum of 40 hours per week)

NOTE: Schedule and timeline may vary based on department needs and your availability. Some departments work weekends and early/late schedules. We do our best to work around your class schedule.

Students selected to move forward in the interview process:
• Must demonstrate knowledge of the company and sports media industry
