Job Description

Art Machine is a fully integrated advertising agency with offices located in London and Los Angeles. We produce some of the world's most recognizable key art for film, TV/streaming and home media clients. We have built a great reputation on award-winning creative, great service, and a fun and energetic culture.

Internships within Art Machine provide participants with a creative, enjoyable and informative experience. Our interns are given the opportunity to learn about and participate in the creative process of entertainment design from concept through delivery.

The following duties may be assigned, when applicable, during the course of an internship:

DUTIES/ASSIGNMENTS
• Build die lines and templates for design and finishing teams.
• Research assets, select photography and mask images for design team usage.
• Make art/copy revisions on existing comps and adapt creative to other sizes and formats.
• Participate on a team to concept and execute key art or platform product art for a theatrical or TV/streaming show release.
• Render type for a title treatment exploration.
• Design and prepare pitch materials for client presentations.
• Prep mechanicals and manually preflight press-ready artwork for delivery.
• Attend and assist a local photo shoot.
• Revise/polish portfolio class assignments under creative supervision, if time permits.
• Other duties as assigned by creative supervisor.

PREFERRED SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS
• Knowledge of Mac OS and proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
• Portfolio that demonstrates illustration, photo manipulation and graphic design skills to perform the assignments listed above.
• Ability to function as a team player and collaborate with others to achieve daily objectives in a timely manner.
• Excellent organization, time management and communication skills.
• A creative point of view, a ''can-do'' attitude and a ''what's next'' mentality.
• A strong interest in film and passion for entertainment design is a necessity.
