Software Engineer Intern

Sony Interactive Entertainment is looking for a Software Engineer Intern to join our established, high performance team in San Francisco, CA. Our ideal candidate is hardworking and passionate about this field.

About the project:

Kubernetes is deprecating docker as a container runtime after v1.20.

At SIE, component test cases are developed to test hundreds of microservices. These tests executed in Kubernetes using docker-compose depend on docker runtime. These tests will be broken after Kubernetes v1.20.

We should like to migrate away from docker-compose solution and explore a Kubernetes native component test solution.

Responsibilities:
• You will work with Engineer manager to evaluate various tools/solutions for micro-service component tests.
• You will propose migration plan.
• You will build tools to migrate the existing solution to the new solution.

Qualifications:
• General object-oriented programming skill using language like Java, groovy.
• Familiar with shell script.
• Knowledge of docker and kubernete.
• Knowledge of software testing.
• Good communication skills.
