Job Description

Sesame Workshop is looking for a Technology and Archive Intern. Working remotely and reporting to the Senior Mana ger , Digital Asset Management Administrator, the Technology and Archive intern will work closely with Marketing Operations and Archives assisting broadly across several platforms including DAMs, Project Management Tools, and Network Servers to help ensure long-term viability, access, and preservation of Sesame Workshop assets.

Expected duties include detail-oriented assessment and description of archival photography; metadata tagging and cataloging of visual assets in Sesame Workshop's Digital Asset Management System; participation in departmental meetings; and asset coordination for pertinent archival requests.

The internship is especially suited toward juniors and seniors in an undergraduate program that is planning on pursuing a Master's in library and Information Science. H ours are flexible based on student availability.

Key Responsibilities
• Metadata tagging and cataloging of assets in Sesame Workshop's DAM
• Asset coordination for archival requests as necessary

Skills and Knowledge Required
• Working knowledge of Mac OS or Windows
• Familiarity with Excel
• General comfortability with technology
• Organized, detail-oriented, affinity for critical thinking and problem solving, and comfortable working independently
• An interest in children's media, education, and/or pop culture is appreciated
• Ability to exercise judgment and discretion when handling confidential materials
• Collaborative and courteous attitude
• Well-developed interpersonal and writing skills are essential for efficient interdepartmental communication and teamwork
• Fundamental understanding of user-based research
• Working knowledge of web-based discovery tools
• Able to work remotely, as necessary

Education/Experience Requirements
• Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior in a bachelor program at an accredited University
