Technical Art Intern (Apex Legends)

We're looking for a Technical Art Intern to join the Apex Legends team. We are only considering students who will be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in the summer of 2022 and are slated to graduate in Fall of 2022 or Spring of 2023.

What You'll Do…
• Rig and skin in game assets: Characters, Weapons, Weapon Charms
• Learn and leverage our proprietary rigging tools
• Work with the art teams
• Write tools to help speed up artist workflows
• Learn the ins and outs of our engine and how to diagnose issues

Required Qualifications...
• Currently enrolled in a college, university degree program
• Available to work full-time hours for 10-12 weeks remotely because of COVID-19 restrictions
• Authorized to work in the US
• Must provide portfolio of work demonstrating basic rigging and custom tools
• Basic modeling skills in maya
• Understanding of basic game logic

• Provide a link to an online presentation, or attach documents to your resume to showcase your work.

• Examples of rigging setups you have created
• Scripting or programming examples (Python, MEL, C#, C++) Not all are required but if you know more than one that is a bonus.

Requirements:

Must be available for a full-time paid internship in the summer of 2022 (May - September depending on start date). We are only considering students who will be enrolled in an accredited degree program in the summer of 2022, slated to graduate no earlier than December 2022 through June 2023. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US on a fulltime basis during the entirety of the internship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
