Software Engineer Intern (Apex Legends)

We're looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join the Apex Legends team. We are only considering students who will be enrolled in a Bachelor's program in the summer of 2022 and are slated to graduate in Fall of 2022 or Spring of 2023.

What You'll Do…
• Develop game features or tools for cross-platform games
• Follow best practices to maximize game performance across multiple devices and platforms
• Partner with art and design to create delightful player experiences and engaging game mechanics
• Work with fellow developers to create systems, tools
• Write C/C++ code, with a knowledge of gameplay
• Work with designers, artists, and animators to design systems

Required Qualifications...
• Enrolled in a college, university degree program
• Available to work full-time hours for 10-12 weeks remotely
• Authorized to work in the US
• Understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented design
• Experience with a major game engine (Unreal Engine, Unity).
• Familiarity with some of the following: C++, Python, C#.
• Passion for making and playing games.
• Interest in all parts of the codebase, and making really solid game play. Experience with multi-threaded programming.
• Experience with large code bases and you can work on code that you didn't write. Experience optimizing code and data to improve both memory consumption and execution speed.
