Graphic Design Intern

San Diego, CA

The Graphic Design Intern will have the opportunity to work as part of PlayStation Studios Creative Arts, an internal creative studio at one of the world's leading entertainment companies. You'll gain the experience of applying your design skills across a variety of media, from broadcast and digital, to print, retail and live events. Our team is small but driven, putting an emphasis on fostering great talent and producing quality products that deliver impactful and awe-inspiring creativity to our clients.

Responsibilities:
• Understanding and appreciation of a wide variety of graphic design aesthetics and techniques
• Create dynamic design elements across a wide array of styles
• Adapt design style and sensibility to the specific job and characteristics of an IP or project
• Be a proactive contributor to the creative process from the beginning of a project through delivery
• Channel and focus creativity and execute on projects under challenging time constraints and deadlines
• Understand and execute on client feedback and/or team notes to achieve desired end product
• Work as part of a small team on both short term and long-term projects

Qualifications:
• Current or post-graduate (up to 1 year) student
• Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and similar programs
• Experience with After Effects and Cinema 4D is a plus, but not required
• A demonstrated sense of composition and style
• Understanding or interest in the video game industry beneficial, but not required
• Possess strong technical and interpersonal skills
• The Graphic Design Intern is expected to be a positive, contributing member of the creative team throughout production
