CBS Media Ventures, formerly known as CBS Television Distribution is currently seeking a Financial Analyst Intern to begin in the Summer of 2023. This Financial Analyst Internship is an excellent opportunity for motivated college students to gain valuable work experience in a fast-paced work environment within the entertainment industry. The intern will learn, grow, and engage in general accounting and financial reporting procedures.

The Accounting intern will prepare journal entries for month-end and quarter-end close. Prepare Intercompany and Intra-division journals within several CBS Divisions. Perform Inter-division confirmations and reconciliations. Assist with special ad-hoc projects on request; and also provide back up for other staff.

The team's summer format will be hybrid out of our 1575 Gower st office in Hollywood, CA. They are not looking for a fully remote intern. We do not cover the cost of housing or transportation.

Basic Qualifications:
• Proficient knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
• Be able to learn and use other PC and mainframe applications.
• Oracle and Google Big Query experience is preferred, but not required.
• Must be a team player and works well in a team oriented environment.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a deadline driven environment.
• Be able to have excellent communication skills.

Internship Eligibility:
• Internships are available to students who will be Juniors, Seniors or Master's students in the fall of 2023. If you are a graduating Senior, please check our website for full-time job opportunities.
• You must be available to intern full-time (5 days a week/36-40 hours a week) for 10 weeks total starting in June.
• Internships are paid at a competitive standard hourly rate (school credit is optional).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The hourly rate for this position is $20.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
