Come join the Product Content Innovation Experience Design team for the unique opportunity to design new content-related and interactive product experiences that consumers use and love. In this role, you have the opportunity to influence the storyline of Netflix titles through the creation of thoughtful designs and user journeys–making more joyful experiences for our members.

About You

You're excited to design joyful experiences for our members through thoughtful UX patterns and beautiful design. You have a passion for TV shows, movies, interactive media, and games. You enjoy the challenge of creating seamless user experiences through understanding user behavior through data and research. You thrive with creativity when faced with ambiguity and technical limitations.

About the Internship Role

This internship is an opportunity to learn from and contribute to the product innovation process at the world's leading streaming entertainment company. You will be partnering with designers, product managers, and engineers. You will walk away from this program with:
- Hand-on experience in the design process of a new product feature at Netflix
- Sharpened technical skills, from identifying real user needs through visual and interaction design
- New connections with industry peers and mentors

Qualifications
• Current student, graduating in December 2023 or Spring/Summer 2024
• Studying visual design, UX design, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), or similar (preferred but not required)
• A strong design portfolio that showcases experience, interaction, and visual design skills (minimum 2-3 projects)
• Ability to quickly produce a great range of UX/UI concepts
• Communication skills to clearly articulate your concepts-and evangelize on their behalf
• Interest or experience in A/B testing and using data to inform design decisions
• Ability to design using standard design apps, such as: Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator; creating or working with an established design systems is a plus
• Ability to receive and give open and honest feedback to encourage personal and professional growth

Responsibilities
• Collaborate on designing features from concept through launch through a customer-centric lens
• Collaborate with a team of designers (visual, interactive, motion, prototypers) to explore, test, and evolve interactive experiences on Netflix
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with PM, Content, Engineering and Consumer Insights partners
• Collaborate with the design team to create a strong interactive point-of-view and help cross-functional teams to understand the vision through sharing, presenting, and/or prototyping

The Summer Internship

At Netflix, we offer a personalized experience for interns, and our aim is to offer an experience that mimics what it is like to actually work here. We match qualified interns with projects and groups based on interests and skill sets, and fully embed interns within those groups for the summer. Internships will be a minimum of 12 weeks, with timing flexible to candidate needs. Conditions permitting, our summer internships will be located in our Los Gatos, CA office, or in our Los Angeles, CA office, depending on the team.

These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location.

The overall market range for Netflix Internships is typically $40/hour - $110/hour.
