The Filmed Entertainment Group encompasses the Universal Pictures Group, Focus Features, and Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The overall landscape of Film includes distinct business functions that each touch a key segment area in the overall lifecycle of a film, from ideation to premiere. Universal Pictures Home Entertainment Global Finance:
The Global FP&A team at UPHE oversees the budgeting and forecasting process for our world-wide Home Entertainment business. We oversee over $1 billion in revenues spanning both the digital and physical categories. The Digital Home Entertainment side of the business oversees the sale of our films via transactional digital methods such as renting or purchasing through Amazon Prime Video. The Physical Home Entertainment side of the business oversees the sale of our films via physical methods such as Blu-ray. The intern would work on the Global FP&A team which is responsible for the financial results not just for the US but for international territories such as the Australia, France, Germany, Japan, and the UK. The intern will be reporting directly to the Director of Finance, but will be working closely with all members of the team.
Responsibilities may include:
• Assist with day-to-day operations on both the OCF & FCF side. This includes data reconciliation, financial consolidation, territory forecasting calls, submitting corporate financials, & maintenance of our financial systems.
• Forecast UPHE finances monthly with financial models and lead discussions with our domestic and international FP&A counterparts. The intern will assist with improving the financial models, processes, and communication with the domestic and international FP&A teams.
• We're always looking to create meaningful analyses for our senior management team. The intern to assist by being the main resource to build the excel-based financial models. They vary from simple (1-week projects) to complex (multi-month projects).
Universal Pictures Home Entertainment Consumer Insights & Analytics
This internship is an opportunity to dive head-first into Home Entertainment, one of the most dynamic parts of the entertainment industry. This group markets and sells all Universal and Focus Features films for transactional Home Entertainment. The intern will develop a deep understanding of the digital and physical home entertainment market by supporting the team in capturing, developing, sharing, and effectively using home entertainment consumer insights. The internship will focus on Global Consumer Insights and Consumer Strategy within the Global Home Entertainment film division. There will be multiple opportunities for high-level exposure over the course of the internship to present findings and recommendations to the Home Entertainment Marketing teams, the SVP of the group, and executives including the Chief Marketing Officer and President of Worldwide Home Entertainment. This internship is perfect for students who are eager to learn about the quantitative side of the entertainment industry's most pressing business challenges, while gaining experience and making contacts in many facets of the film business. This position will give the intern opportunities to network with professionals from many different parts of NBCUniversal, including marketing, digital distribution, business & corporate development, finance and others.
Responsibilities may include:
• Utilize first-party data, retail and sales data, and marketing performance data to evaluate marketing performance and improve marketing strategies
• Assist media team with paid, earned, and owned marketing analysis and reporting deliverables for title performance and trends
• Prepare industry updates on quarterly sales and syndicated research reports to inform business of industry trends

Qualifications/Requirements
In pursuit of a MBA degree at an Accredited Institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress.
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal

Ability to multitask and highly organized
Excellent verbal and written communication
Previous internship experience within a corporate setting
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and financial modeling is a plus
