Spring 2023 Internship Program:

• Time Commitment: 16-24 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need. We will do our best to accommodate course schedules.

Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to:
• DTC Software Engineering, Playback Services: Within the Playback Services Innovation group we are looking interns to assist in building websites, demos and prototypes around our video player and encoding technologies. If you are interested in VR, compression algorithms, automation computer vision or machine learning then this is the group to join. Responsibilities include: web development, research assistant tasks and JS/C++ development.
• TVE Data Science & Analytics: The Data Science and Analytics intern will play a key role in supporting strategic initiatives for the organization. You will have the opportunity to utilize large-scale data to creatively solve real-life business problems and help drive product and programming strategy.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
• Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the length of the program.
• Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal.
• Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA.
• Familiarity with SQL.

Desired Characteristics:
• Students with class standing of junior or above preferred
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
• Computer science courses
• Experience with JS/HTML
• JS/HTML experience code in production or contributions to popular GitHub projects
• Technical writing
• Applied experience with ML, predictive modeling, classification models, and clustering is a plus.
• Experience with BI visualization tools such as Domo, Tableau, Looker, or Microstrategy.

Additional Requirements:
