Responsibilities
Role Summary: The Internship Experience Coordinator is the backbone of the NBCUniversal Internship Program team. Serving as the main point of contact for incoming & current Interns, the Internship Experience team takes ownership of the onboarding process, executes Intern events & developmental programming, handles internal communications to key stakeholders, and ensures an excellent onboarding and Intern experience. This position provides a holistic support system to the incoming & current Interns, and reports into the Director, Internship Program Experience.

In addition to the responsibilities of the day-to-day role, Coordinators will act as the primary owner of one strategic pillar for the program, as detailed below, providing the Coordinators the opportunity to become subject matter experts in key areas of interest.

As needed, the Internship Experience team will participate in project work to support efforts in enhancing the program brand, experience, and developmental efforts.

Responsibilities: The Internship Experience Coordinator will act as the primary owner for one of the below strategic pillars, in addition to offering support for all pillars as needs arise and other ad hoc projects.
Onboarding & Offboarding
• Partner with Director, Internship Program Experience to re-assess onboarding process to ensure an efficient and streamlined approach
• As Interns accept offers, process offer letters and ensure timely completion of all new hire paperwork & background checks
• Ownership of I-9 processing, as Interns being each program
• As Interns complete their programs, process system separations and confirm final pay details
• Partner with the Payroll & Tax teams as needed to verify accurate pay information for departing Interns

Communications
• Create and edit ongoing communications for incoming Interns, current Interns, and Intern managers
• Design strategic calendar for recurring communications
• Utilize systems, such as Campaign Monitor and Mail Merge, to personalize mass communications
• Analyze feedback from Interns and Intern managers to update communications with the end-user in mind
• Partner with Director, Internship Program Experience to research new and innovative ways to communicate with Gen Z talent
• Manage the Microsoft Teams channel for direct Intern communications and provide maintenance support as needed

Social Media
• Partner with the Talent Branding team to provide regular and relevant content for social media platforms
• Continue research to understand what content resonates with Gen Z and how we can best market to our target audience
• Own the Social Media channel within Microsoft Teams to prompt Interns for content and package for the Talent Branding team
• In an effort to drive social media awareness and content, creatively design the bi-weekly newsletter through the lens of social media
• Monitor social media pages to confirm timely posting of content provided and respond to prospective and current Interns who comment
• Understand the proper hashtags relevant to the target audience and attach as necessary to social media posts

Program Connection
• Own the design, content, and maintenance of Program SharePoint sites
• As each semester progresses, update content to include pertinent information for target audiences
• Evaluate feedback from Interns and Intern managers to incorporate useful materials
• Analyze site usage from end-users and determine frequency of push notifications as new content is added

Events & Programming
• Strategize with Director, Internship Program Experience to design thoughtful, developmental, & inclusive events and programming each semester
• Evaluate Intern feedback to adjust recurring programming
• Research ''outside of the box'' approaches for designing and delivering dynamic curriculum
• Collaborate with the Talent Development team to leverage current developmental offerings, understand future offerings, and to seek mentorship on facilitation styles and approach
• Set the calendar of events and confirm facilitators, add to Outlook calendars in advance of event dates
• Design registration, tracking, and feedback process for each event
• Partner with Communications and Social Media workflows to optimize Intern visibility to all events & programming

Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience, including but not limited to event planning, talent acquisition coordinator, social media coordinator, human resources, communications, recruiting, etc.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and SharePoint regularly
• Strong Interest in: talent development, organizational development, early career programming or human resources, and an overarching desire to help people

Eligibility Requirements:
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older

Desired Characteristics

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Brassring and/or SmartRecruiters
• Previous experience as a Campus Coordinator or Talent Acquisition Coordinator
• Familiarity with onboarding processes for high volume programs
