Spring 2023 Internship Program:

• Program Dates: January 17 – April 21, 2023
• Time Commitment: 16-24 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need. We will do our best to accommodate course schedules.

NBC Sports Next is a subdivision of NBC Sports and home to all NBCUniversal digital applications in sports and technology within its three groups: Youth & Recreational Sports, Golf, and Betting, Gaming & Emerging Media. NBC Sports Next is fueled by its mission to innovate, create larger-than-life events and connect with sports fans through technology to provide the ultimate in immersive experiences. 

Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to:

Customer Support:
• Customer Success – The Customer Experience Internship program will focus on multiple aspects of the customer experience in positions such as Project Management, Training, or Customer Success.

Finance:
• Enterprise Portfolio Management – The Enterprise Portfolio Management team within the overall Finance & Business Operations department is responsible for managing all key strategic initiatives for NBC Sports Next. An intern will carry out various duties and will play an integral part in supporting and project managing key initiatives, ensuring critical documentation is up to date, and generally supporting the rest of the finance and business operations teams from a project management perspective.

Marketing:
• Brand Marketing – Collaborate with brand marketing team to devise original & curated content marketing strategies to support acquisition and retention initiatives.
Operations & Technology:
• East Coast Studio Ops, Technical Management – This l intern will observe, train, and get hands-on in as many technical positions as possible during the duration of their internship. The team will also be identifying opportunities to join and observe special projects and productions that will broaden the scope of how a broadcast production facility operates and how a production comes together.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Requirements:
• Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the length of the program.
• Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal.
• Must be willing to work in Minneapolis, MN.

Desired Characteristics:
• Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• For East Coast Studio Ops, Technical Management: Pursuing a degree in broadcast journalism or a related field with a passion for technology. Prior experience with broadcast television, including on-campus clubs. Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in studio operations.

Additional Requirements:
