OVERVIEW OF JOB
The intern will work across the A&E, Lifetime and HISTORY Program Research teams to analyze network and program performance for our brands as well as the competitive landscape. The intern will transform data into actionable insights for the programming and strategy teams.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
Responsible for regular reporting needs, the intern will work closely with our analysts to monitor program and network viewership on linear television. The intern will assemble reports and analyses on A+E Networks and our competitive set. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Pulling data on television audiences
- Analyzing daily performance of competitive programs
- Managing our internal databases
- Facilitating daily data downloads
- Creating historical tracks for television series
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Expertise with Excel, Knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
• Ability to read and transform data into actionable insights
• Spot trends in large sets of data
• Both an analytical and creative thinking mind-set
• Solid oral and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• A positive attitude and desire to gain experience within the TV marketing landscape
• A self-starter with ambition and passion for television
