The Job

Content Strategy for HBO Max is the team responsible for driving strategy around movies, series, and specials for HBO Max SVOD and AVOD service. The team evaluates and catalogs inventory to inform needs and opportunities of series, movies, and short form content.

The Daily

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Catalog and categorize existing inventory for HBO Max and assist in preparing inventory for integration into new software.
• Support team in preparing executive summaries for VPs and SVPs
• Follow industry news with an emphasis on emerging technology and short form content
• Research potential deal content and ancillary business opportunities
• Occasionally screen potential acquisitions and evaluate for brand and audience fit for HBO Max
• Build key data-informed strategies to better support core business growth
• Network and learn about the entertainment business as a whole

• Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail
• Passion for the television, streaming, and media landscape
• Positive attitude and work ethic in fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented data management and evaluation skills
• Ability to self-motivate and manage time on their own in a virtual work environment

Internship Program
• Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for the full duration of the internship
• Spring 2022 program dates are January 24th - April 15th; must be available for full program duration
• Part-time schedule (16-24 hours/week) designed to work around class schedule
• Company-issued computer provided for the duration of the internship program.
