The Job:

This internship is based in the HBO MAX offices located in Culver City, CA. The selected Intern will spend 12 weeks working with the drama series department, helping executives in the development and production process around all of our original drama HBO Max original series.

Responsibilities

The Daily Responsibilities:

The selected Intern will work with the HBO Max original programming department.
• Although the Intern will spend the majority of his/her time in this department, the Intern will have exposure to Production, Post-Production, Business Affairs, Legal, Finance, and Public Relations on an ad hoc basis.
• Previous interns have sat in on meetings, worked on various projects, attended professional development workshops/classes, as well as assisted with basic day-to-day administrative needs (including, but not limited to, basic data entry, copying, etc., and other duties as need and as required).
• Interns should be open to any project requested.
• By the end of the internship, the Intern will have had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with all aspects of television and gain a broader understanding of the Industry within a very busy television network.

The Essentials:
• Should be able to commit to 12 weeks of the internship and be able to work at least 2 full 8-hour days per week (the 8 hours within the day are flexible; for example, 9-5 or 11-7)
• Although it is preferred that the candidate should be pursuing a degree in Film/Television or related field, it is not required.
• Should be self-motivated, have the ability to work in a team environment, multi-task, have a good attitude, and be able to function well in an environment with short deadlines and quick turnaround projects.
• Should also have working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Must be currently enrolled as a student (proof of enrollment will be required if selected for an internship)
• Must be a rising Junior, Senior, or Graduate student (18 years or older)
• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States

About the Internship Program:
• Our Spring 2023 program is a 12 Week Internship that will run from Monday, February 6th through Friday, April 28th, 2023
• Part time-schedule (16-24 hours/week) required
• Company-issued computer or secured remote access provided for the duration of the internship program
• Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive salary. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.
